Brian Nichols is a convicted murderer who gained national attention for a 2005 courthouse shooting in Atlanta, Georgia. Nichols was being tried for rape when he overpowered a sheriff's deputy, stole her gun, and went on a shooting spree that resulted in the deaths of four people, including a judge, a court reporter, a sheriff's deputy, and a federal agent.
